Mixing It Up - Look of the Week

I always love it when people manage to mix prints successfully. To me, that’s a higher level of fashion kung-fu than I am usually confident enough for, but I think I nailed it here. Of all mixed-print looks, I can’t resist stripes mixed with florals, especially when combined with a leather jacket. It’s my perfect ideal of the tough but feminine, and slightly French vibe that I often aspire to, but probably only rarely manage to pull off.

I wore this look to see Carol Burnett, live at the Long Center with my mom and sis as an early birthday present for Mom, and I like to think the red haired queen of comedy would have approved (if she could have seen me, up in the Mezzanine).
